While I was at Shenzhen, it was recommended that I stay over at a Sauna which is way cheaper than staying over at a hotel. I stayed over at this Sauna which is a bigger and classier one called the Water Cube Spa and the chinese name is "siw lap fong" siw is water in chinese. Once you get into Shenzhen from HK, you will gain access to the Shenzhen subway which is very similar to the HK subway as the HK MTR had built Shenzhen's subway for them. Once you get onto the subway you have to look for the "fok tin XX" station. fok is luck in chinese and tin is farm land in chinese. XX is 2 chinese characters that I cannot read. However, there is only one "fok tin XX" station on the subway map. Once you get off a certain exit in fok tin, you will see a tall building that says "siw lap fong" which you can walk towards. Alot of saunas are located there.
It is 24 hours, so when you get in you will get a wrist band and then the guys working there will direct you to the men's room. Once you get into the locker room, you will have to place all your belongings in there and strip off all your clothes. Then you walk into this bathroom area to take a shit, shower and then you will get the option off using the hot tubs and the hot steam rooms. Everything you order that costs money will be charged on you wrist band is how they bill you at the end.
The customer service is EXCELLENT. There are people that will attend to your every need. The one thing that pisses me off is the fact that everytime I need to go back to my locker to get something, someone has to escort me and they will stare at you the whole time like you will steal something.
Then after all you washing up, you can then proceed into the main hall where there are hundread of these really comfortable chairs with a TV attached to it. You can sit and relax. Managers will come around upselling you services.
It is about $100 yuan ~= $16.73 CAN to get services like manicures, foot massages and back massages in the main hall. Then if you go for a real massages, you will have to go the the massage rooms and depending on what kind of massage you get it is between 250 to 600 yuan ~= 41.83 to 100.39 CAD for 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on the type of massage you get. It's not until you get a real massage that you can get a massage room to stay over night in. So basically if you want to be cheap like me, get a $40 CAD massage and you can stay overnight which is even cheaper than a hotel as a massage is included.
When I was at the main hall, all beverages and fruits were free but food is not.
cataztrophe talking shit and not cutting to the chase? Here comes the juicy part, once you pick a massage you can also pick a massage girl. You can go to a computer and they have this win app application that looks like it was written in VB 6 which shows 250 thumbs nails of massage attendant who are avaliable. Motherfucker, you can click on a thumb nail and the girl's profile will pop up in a dialog. They are all from mainland china and are smoking hot. Once you pick your girl you can let the manager know and he will take you to a room.
It will generally cost 700 to 800 yuan for FS which is 117.12 to 133.85 CAD which is kinda expensive, but remember, this was a high class place I went to. Smaller sauna's are cheaper but I heard that it is also easier to get busted by cops. I would stick with this bigger place for safety. FS is illegal in Sauna's in china and it depends on you to deal with the girl yourself.
Next morning when you check out, you can once again use their shower facilities and can pay upfront with your wrist band.
