no way for two presidents to work well together since the economy is so bad recently.they just donot want to rise up the level of the fight.

I feel this is act of gesture. There are more US companies expendite process to move equilty out of China after APEC. it is premature to say if the relationshop has improved or not

Words are meaningless, as are meetings, handshakes, and photo ops.
In my opinion, the only real signs that 美中關係 has improved is if either side start giving what the other side actually wants. And right now, neither side is willing to budge.

What China wants from the US:

• stop sanctions on their companies
• stop restricting access to chip technology
• stop trying to contain China militarily, like deploying its military assets right on China's borders
• and above all else, stop supporting and defending Taiwan
  

What the US wants from China:

• "know its place" and continue to be the world's factory for low-end goods, rather than move in on high-tech sectors
• keep the US economy afloat by continuing to buy US Treasuries
• abandon Russia, as well as toe the US line on all other global issues and conflicts
• and above all else, even though this is the unspoken part, stop challenging the US position as the world's military and economic top dog
