Well if you don't care about your privacy, you can install insurance company app where they track your driving habits. They will give you discount for it but I do not recommend.
don't forget though the main point of insurance companies is to take money from you, there aren't too many ways to get lower rates other than what the previous brothers have said, age is probably the most important one, someone who is 18 with a fresh G license will get quoted much more higher than someone who has a clean record and many years of holding the G license and 30+ in age
Where you live plays a huge role in your premiums.
Understating your mileage will help with premiums but might be an issue if the difference is too big during claim. Also, get a small discount for winter tires.
