I agree its not as good as before. They need some bad ass rivalry to get more eyes.
Not enough weight classes like boxing, some of the fighters leading up to weigh-in look like they're about to die and then fight day for example they are walking around 200-205lbs when they're fighting middle weight class which is supposed to be 185, they also host UFC about every week so if the viewer isn't heavily invested into following it just seems like they are forcing fights.
Agreed it's very diluted now, they need someone like JSP or McGregor to get a storyline going, same reason why WWF took off. Need rivalry and storylines
Ever since they signed with ESPN, they are obligated to put up certain amount of fight per year. That's way there a event every week. Which is also the reason why some fight night cards are headline by two nobodies with no wikipedia page. It's quantity over quality now.
Did you guys see the last event? complete garbage UFC hasn't had any good fighters since khabib retired, waiting for jon jones to come back, francis ngannou needing to be re-signed and before conner got his big money from the boxing fight with floyd
