that is a crazy stat. I never thought that anyone would beat Netflix over the years! Disney has done a great job bringing on new content and Netflix has gotten slower.
5 years is pretty fast to surpass Netflix even counting Hulu and ESPN+.
I do think that Disney+ is more flexible with their pricing and is better for family with kids.
Also, marvel contents are always popular
Content Content Content is king. Disney had HUGE advantage of having a enormous top-tier catalog with very succeful titles. And nostalgia is powerful drug.
All they needed was a decent streaming platform and boom.
Disney has a lot of good content especially with the Star stuff in Canada. I can't help but notice they are pumping out these B tier Marvel / Star Wars series non stop though. I'm so tired of them especially since they aren't really that good.
Netflix is fine... lots of good old content but again... Netflix also has a habit of pumping out crappy new shows / movies. Beginning to think it's not worth the money anymore though.
And then there's Crave... The worst in terms of quality vs price. Too bad though because they got HBO... I just wish we had stand alone HBO Max in Canada. Stupid Bell...
