"Leverage" is the problem. All these other scam coins out there can be converted into BTC. This means even if BTC has some real value, it has to take a deep discount from the combined value of the scam coins.

Just because of that, BTC does not worth more than 12K at this point.

Really need those 10,000+ coins reduced down to 100 or less for the crypto space to bottom out.
