Re 2021's Qatar F-1 GP:

1.  There will be NO live telecast.  Usually when local TV Guide listed a live coverage, there will be nothing, & this time, it was not even mentioned, so we can safely assume that there is no coverage.  
However, you can follow the race by reading the live commentary from F-1's official website.

2.  Qualifying for pole position is going on right now.  We will know the final results in a few minutes.  However, Hamilton is leading, followed by Max and Bottas.

3.  Come to think of it, this year's championship is only between Hamilton & Max with only 4 (?) points apart because the 3rd & 4th place contenders are nowhere close to the top twp.  So, Max might/can try another mutual DIF of Hamilton & him to secure the championship!  Base the last race, Max will DO ANYTHING to stay ahead since Stewards have been lenient to him.

OK, the starting position is now finalized as per "2" above.

The grid position changed before the start of the 2021 Qatar F-1 GP.  Max was given a 5 position penalty for ignoring the yellow flag in practice, while Bottas was given only three for the same offence.  I don't understand the rationale, may be the Stewards had a guilty conscience for their leniency to Max in the previous race!

The race ended with Hamilton leading from start to finish!

Bottas, on the other hand, never a good driver in the racing mix, dropped to almost dead last with no accidents.  It took him a long while to recovery, then had puncture, & subsequently retired.  That was no help for the Team Championship.

Max came in 2nd.  Alonso in 3rd - quite an achievement!

The 2021 Saudi Arabia's Jeddah F-1 GP is set for this weekend.

The cars have finished the two Official Practice sessions with MB's cars being the fastest.  That was practice sessions, not Official Qualifying.  The results are only for  reference, NOT the final result, but race teams can use the practice session to fine tune their cars for the final practice session, to be followed almost  immediately by the Official Qualifying sessions.

The important thing to keep in mind is that this is the first time that a F-1 is to be held in Saudi Arabia.  It is a street circuit with tight corners, and none of the drivers have raced on this track before.  USUALLY, the fastest driver is the one who could adapt his driving skills to a new race track & is probably the one to win the race.

So, Hamilton will have a better chance to win this one, and bring the championship decider to the next and final F-1 stop of 2021.  This is very interesting indeed!  :-)

The Qualifying Sessions of 2021 Saudi Arabian F-1 GP has just finished.

Hamilton, Bottas, Max.  However, in order to snatch the pole,  Max tried a shade too hard & hit the wall on his final attempt.  The mechanics will have to work hard all night to repair the damage!

No TV coverage tomorrow.  I will follow by reading lap by lap reporting on F-1's official website & keep you all posted.

Max's brush with the wall was NOT severe, but whether the chassis was compromised, no one can tell unless the car is stripped down for inspection.

it wasn't that severe..but with benz taking top 2 ... bottas is going have to defend like crazy to protect ham....
