Why so many telemarketers for air duct cleaning?

This is the whole scam?  If this is true, next time, I will just provide them the police station as my address.

Sure, I had a woman with an eastern European accent cold calling some weeks ago with this very sales pitch, and Indian guy before but I explain in the past I've lived in an apartment and won't need the service, but it seems debatable a scam.

I had the same guy calling me every month about duct cleaning. I asked him for his company name and he hang up every time.

I don't think you can block them, they spoof a different number every time. I had days where I would get a call on the dot every hour for 5 hours.

Today I got two calls to my two work numbers, I picked up both of them, sounds like the same people with Indian accent promoting air duct cleaning. I don't pick up stranger calls for my personal number, but for business, I have to. National Do Not Call List is just a joke.

what I suggest is to waste their time. I put them on speaker and continuing doing what I was doing before the call and answer their questions with fake info.  Keep the call going as long as possible, I even put them on hold sometimes and tell them "I need to check the square footage etc"  

I find if you keep wasting their time call after call, the calls get reduced.

i really dont get how the scam works.. however i always tell them i have chicken not ducks.. then they get mad.. and wants to start a fight with me

I've blocked at least 10 numbers in the last week, it's insane
