Things to watch:

1.  MB & Ferrari will continue their duel.

2.  Max might be a future champion material, but Red Bull's gamble to use Honda engine is an unknown factor.

3.  Leclerc who joined Ferrari to replace Kimi should give Vettel a run for his money in mid-season.

4.  Vettel should have won the 2018 Championship, if his immature driving continues, he might have to look for a new employer soon!

Watching motor racing on TV is way better than watching it from a spectator stand.

TV shows many corners; from the spectator stand, at most you see 2 corners and 1 straight, hardly worth the time and money!

You're right. View from more angles would be more great. Most people go for the atmosphere i think

I went to the Toronto Molson Indy one year. Couldn't see a thing because of the crowds. Great to HEAR the cars but thats about it.

When you watch motor racing "on site", ground level is the worst.  "Ring side" is not for watching motor racing, you must go to the highest point of spectator stand or the highest point of the landscape.

Putting it bluntly, don't watch motor racing from "vantage point", watch the race on TV!

Karting is totally different, it is quite possible to watch the whole race from one spot; there are many races for different classes/groups (weight/age/engine power), and are usually bumper to bumper, and are well worth watching them in person.

Give it a try someday, watch the national karting events only, not the local club events which are good but cannot compare with national, or better still international events.  You will not regret this decision!

Reminder:

2019's Curtain Raiser for F1 is next week end in Australia.  Due to time difference, live TV is most likely at 0030 or 0130 which is mid-day in Australia, or they could start later at, say 1730 which will be roughly 0530 in Toronto.
