A lot more than a regular laptop $600 or less, vs Iphone8 at over $1000 (USD).
A moderately feature smartphone like Honor 8 is less than $300.
Not as good a status symbol as any Apple phone, but you want status symbol for girls, get a handbag which could be stolen or robbed, but would not BREAK when dropped. For boys, a fancy car to drive.
But budget phone will do the functions with flying color.
Agreed Apple has worldwide support network if your apple products need help. But is it worth it?
I read an article that the sales of iPhone 8 will not be as good since there are not much reasons for people to upgrade. I guess it will also be affected by other phones coming out almost the same time i.e. the phones made by Chinese and the Samsung Note8.
Will Iphone 8 sell ? Think of the Gucci, LV, Chanel, Rolex etc, sales not because of quality or usefulness, but by SNOBBISH appeal. The more expensive , the better, to show off. STATUS SYMBOL.
