Mentioned in the other thread but not sure why people freaking out so much.

The jacked up dimsum pricing is market segmentation to a high margin / lower volume model. Also their target demographic is mainly "nouveau riche" mainlanders whos parents actually made/laundered the money, so these people have no value of a dollar but are willing to pay a premium for mandarin ability.

Personally I would be hella pissed if I was a mainlander tho, bc at $400-600 /hr you are getting some serious shit quality dimsum, and just a mandarin language and an "asian only" designation LOL

It would be a completely different if the dimsums were actually girls at that high level service. If you ever been to a japanese soapland you know what I mean and those places charge about the same price at 600/hr.

Anyway its a market so Im not too worried as Im totally happy with $260/hr kimchis and if the garage survives on higher pricing good for them.
