I presume the incident between Hamilton and Vettel happened at the narrowest part of the circuit, th ...

The race will resume in 10', not sure whether the two front runners can continue.

FYI, repair is allowed but not changing to a replacement car.

Race resumed.

Vettel was given a 10" drive by penalty for causing the accident with Hamilton.  For a serial trouble maker, I think the penalty is just too small!

The Azerbeijan GP has just finished.

Ricciardo (Australia) of Red Bull won the race,  Bottas (Finland) of MB beat Stroll (Canada) at the finish line.

Dirty driver-Vettel came in 4th, Hamilton was catching up with Vettel but ran out of laps.

So Vettel  still lead in Drivers' Championship.

This race is really worth watching which will have a taped telecast around 6 p.m. Toronto time.

Just finished watching the taped telecast of the Azerbaijan GP.

I think Vettel got away too lightly after hitting Hamilton TWICE!

The first time was when the Official Car was out, and everyone must keep their position without overtaking while the Official Car and the race leader, in this case Hamilton controlled the pace.  Vettel was afraid the Hamilton might get away and accidentally hit Hamilton, but Vettel placed the blame on Hamilton.

It is like driving through a tunnel, you are not allowed to overtake, no matter how fast and how slow the car in front is moving.

After blaming Hamilton for the accident, Vettel drove forward, was parallel with Hamilton - the race leader, then turned his front wheel toward Hamilton's car and hit him in a display of road rage, which should never be tolerated in high speed racing.

Vettel got 5" penalty for each of the hit, totaling 10".

Let's face it, if you hit any car on the road in the form of road rage, your licence will be suspended.

10" penalty was just too lenient.

You know why Vettel could get away so lightly?  My guess is that Vettel drives for Ferrari which happens to be a "major sponsor" of F-1, so he got away, just like Michael  Schumacher, another dirty driver, who drove for Ferrari and got away with a lot dirty driving!

A good race and a shameful display of poor sportsmanship of Vettel!

When the Official Car is on the circuit as a result of debris on the track, all cars must maintain their position, follow the leading car and not allowed to overtake.  The Official Car controls the overall pace, but the leading car controls the pace of cars which follow him.

Vettel should follow Hamilton regardless of Hamilton's speed.  Hitting Hamilton from behind is like hitting a car in front of you while travelling inside a tunnel.  Vettel was clearly at fault and he tried to put the blame on Hamilton was clearly idiotic!

After the initial hitting from behind, Vettel then drove alongside Hamilton, and hit him again - a clear display of road rage which should not be tolerated in racing.  After side-swepting Hamilton, Vettel actually went ahead of Hamilton, another violation!

Vettel was damn lucky to be able to get off so lightly - only a 10' drive by penalty.

If I were the Chief  Racing Stewart, I would have Vettel disqualified for the race, plus suspended his competition licence for one more race!

Anyway, just keep in mind that Vettel is a DIRTY driver.  It was his numerous ungentlemanly behaviours and the Team Manager playing favouritism towards Vettel, which forced Mark Webber - his team mate at Red Bull to leave the Red Bull team at then end of that season.

All these F-1 reporters commented the same way I did.  Vettel should get a heavier penalty!

This weekend, Austria will host the next F-1 GP.

The Championship will also enter its mid-stage.  Any Teams or drivers that could do well during this "mid term", will be a force to be reckoned with for the balance of the year.

Once the races move back to Europe, we will have live telecast, usually start at 0800 local time, but check your local listings.
