Boeing found guilty of misleading its clients and investors about the 737 max safety.

Whether they can "fix" the model is a big question.

Personally, I think not.

MAX should be okay. They wouldn't return the planes back into the air unless safety concerns have been addressed... because imagine another one going down, no way Boeing or any airlines carrying MAX fleet would want to risk that.

What caused the crashes weren't simply due to hardware malfunction. It was due to Boeing cutting corners around training and providing adequate safety protocols for pilots, so when they encountered the issue they did not know how to respond properly. There have been strict training for pilots flying MAX planes now and I'm certain they must have inspected each and every MAX plane as well and double and triple checked the software issue with the MCAS.
