Ringing Apartment Buzzer: the right way to do it ?

I tried waiting for people with keys to enter and they will offer me a way in sometimes too.  I am afraid not going in when they offer if I insist to buzz in that I will look suspicious.

when security tells you to show him you identification ~~~~ Only POLICE are authorized to ask for identification (If not coped (s)he will bring you to police station].

Hmmmm ... why not "we" use the following sign-in name from now:

No worries cataz gor, I tried walking in following somebody and as long as you have the apartment number they always had opened for me.

always use buzz n sign with excact unit #, but fake name, some security guy probably know whats going on but who care what they think.

I just realized that some shops will text you the fake extension for you to fill.

Does anyone know why security would ask these questions?  It is because one looks like a John?
