2021 Formula-1 GP

The 2021 Season will start next month and only today that 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton agreed on a 1-yr deal!
MB wanted 2-yr, but Hamilton insisted on one with an option of "somthing better" for the next season/agreement.

So, MB will have the same line up.
Red Bull will have Max and Perez.

Forget about Ferrari, it is still not competitive, engine-wise.  I am not sure Read Bull will be any better due to power unit switch (Honda is out, Renault is in).


So, MB will still dominate the F-1 scene!

Are you referring to "in person" or via live telecast?

Forget about "in person" right now due to pandemic and the resultant quarantine on arrival and return.

For live telecast:
1.  Check full race schedule via www.formula1.com.
2.  Check local TV guide for that week-end.  Most of the races have live telecast + some taped version as well.

1.  www.formula1.com will have highlights and sometimes the entire race, after the race.  If you sign up (no charge) you could read the instant discussion and race report.

2.  www.youtube.com will have same minus the written discussion and report.

However, none of the above can fulfill a F-1 fan's desire for visual satisfaction!  Watching either live or taped telecast is definitely better than "in person" because it costs less $ and time.

Exception:  Watching local karting events in person is better than via youtube.

for me, i am always watch race highlight only. There is no point to watch the whole races. Too Long, and you dont get much connection with it

The first race of the 2021 F-1 GP season will begin this coming week-end.

I offer my comments and predictions as follows:

1.  Hamilton signed a one-year deal with MB.  He will do his best to win another Drivers' Championship title, after which he will retire.
I think Hamilton will get his title, then the record will stand and no future drivers can break it!

2.  Bottas has one year left in his contract, but he will be released after the contract is up because George Russel stood in for Hamilton while quarantining for Coronas Virus, & has demonstrated that he can drive faster than Bottas, so when Hamilton goes, GR will join MB.  Bottas certainly cannot stand being out-performed by a new comer or the new comer given more attention by the Team.  Therefore, taking an escape escape route early is better.

3.  So, who will team up with GR?  MB is a strong team and ALL drivers would like to race under BM's banner, so there is no shortage of talents waiting to be called.  Believe it or not, I think Max will be called if Red Bull's power unit is still only 2nd best!

4.  This will be Lance Stroll's (Canadian) year to prove whether he deserves all the attention.  LS performed well towards the end of 2020 Season, but we have to see whether he could repeat in 2021.

5.  It will still be MB winning the Constructors' Championship, & Hamilton excels on the Drivers' side, but it is NOT a "given", Hamilton has to perform while all young hopefuls will do everything to impress the strong teams.

2021 Bahrain F-1 GP's first practice session has completed.

The 1st session is usually for tuning, and car set up, lap times are for reference and don't put too much emphasis on it.

Max was fastest in a Honda power plant.

I will save my comments after more practice and qualifying results (SAT) come in.
