Just finished watching the USA F-1 GP.

The opening ceremony was terrific!

The last 2 laps were extremely exciting, Max Verstappen edged out Kimi at the 2nd last turn to claim #3 after starting from 18th on the grid.

The race finished with Hamilton, Vettel, Max.   Hamilton is edging closing to winning 2017's championship.

Max was stripped of his 3rd place finish by the Race Stewards because he cut corners (placing 4 wheels outside the track) at the 2ne last corner, gained advantage and overtook Kimi at the following corner.

Yes, there is such a rule, but NEVER enforced by the Race Stewards until now, may be because by enforcing the rule, it would benefit Ferrari which happens to be a MAJOR SPONSOR of Formula-1?

How come Vettel of Ferrari intentionally hit Hamilton when the race pace was under the control of the Official Car, was not penalized at all?

If I were the Chief Race Steward, I would disqualify Vettel from that race PLUS give him a 3-race suspension!  (Please read my comment from #49 - #58)

How do I know these rules?  Well, I studied these FIA race rules because I was once deeply involved with motor racing.

So, the final standing of the USA 2017 F-1 GP is then Hamilton, Vettel, and Kimi.  Max has been relegated to 4th.

Both drivers put all 4 wheels prior to the overtaking corner.  The Race Stewards should be ashamed of making that decision which favours Ferrari!

Vettel had 4 wheels outside the track at Turn 1, but was not penalized.  The Race Steward who made the decision to penalize Max for the same infringement should be removed from duty.

There was other infringements involving other drivers throughout the race too.

The rule is that the race car can have two wheels outside the track but not all 4, but F-1 Stewards had never enforced this rule for MANY YEARS, so why now and why only on Max?

The above video is another opinion pointing FIA's inconsistencies in enforcing the track limit rule.

I am sure this will be a hot topic during Drivers' Briefing of the next race which is the Mexican F-1 GP.  The Chief Steward will have a lot of explanation to do.

In view of several controversial decisions favouring Ferrari, the Chief Steward should be replaced or asked to resign.

2017 MEXICO F-1 GP:

If practice is any indication, Mexico should be a milestone for the Red Bull team.... Daniel Ricciardo not only set a new lap record and posted the fastest time in FP2; team-mate Max Verstappen was third fastest, Hamilton was sandwiched in the middle.

Before the start of the 2017 season, Red Bull was tipped to have a good season which did not materialize until the most recent 3 races.

The actual fun on Sunday should be fun and exciting.  There will be live telecast, check local listings.

Results of the Official Qualifying Session:

Vettel, Verstappen, Hamilton, Bottas

The first corner of the first lap should be very interesting.  Vettel wants Verstappen to be his buffer to be an obstacle  for Hamilton, but Verstappen is a fear-nothing young star who is prepared to dislodge anyone on his way to a win.

Hamilton can just sit tight and let the two front runners 'kill" each other!

The 2017 Mexican Formula 1 GP has just ended - Max Verstappen, Bottas, Kimi.

So, the Championship has been decided, Hamilton will win 2017's Championship although he did not win this Mexican race.

Just as I predicted, there was an accident at the first corner of the first lap, Max beat Vettel after touching wheels which caused Vettel to slow down just a little bit.  Hamilton seized the opportunity to squeeze past.  Then may be, and just may be that Vettel intentionally hit Hamilton from behind to cause a rear wheel punctual on Hamilton's car which ended his hope of winning the championship with a podium finish.

Oh yes, about 2 months I mentioned that the young Canadian dirver deserved your watchful eyes.  Lance Stroll finished 6th in a slower car.

If Lance gets a ride with a strong team, e.g. Ferrari, BM, or Red Bull, we will see his real potentials.

Kimmi contract with Ferrari ends this year, so Lance might have a chance with Ferrari.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.
