If you have any of the 15 listed, including one from China, dump it ASAP.

Of the 15, I drove a rental Pinto with manual gear shift (only the automatic transmission had the problems described) many years ago. Actually the manual was not a bad car, nobody wanted to rent it, so I got it at a dirt cheap price for one week.
