Has to vent my opinion on resolving the traffic congestion of North America.
Asian cities will not hesitate to build multilevel highway structures to get around congestion of roadways,
be it bridges, tunnels or higher level roads.
Looking at local Toronto. Ramp to 401 E or W on 404 has to be totally plugged up ALL THE TIME, especially with the trucks entering and cars cutting in. Why would not be possible to build another level into 401 E and W.
Or a second level on DVP to Blood exit with toll access, one direction depending on AM rush or PM rush.
A little money invested will save a lots of time, gas and pollution, not to mention about driver frustration, toll or no toll. |
