Are you sure it is not "1.3" because "13" is way too long!

F-1's pit stop usually takes just about 2" which includes changing 4 tires, and full tank of gasoline!

2020 Turkish F-1 GP Qualifying Session:

What a crazy session, in the wet, that is!

It is always fun to watch these world class drivers maneuver in the wet.  Surprise, surprise, MB can never find the speed ( I am sure it was not the drivers fault), and the top three qualifiers are:

Lance Stroll (Canadian)
Max
Perez (Mexico)

Both MBs were slow, I think occupying 8th or 9th.  Ferraris did even make it to the Final Qualifying Session.

There will be live telecast at 0700 tomorrow morning!

If it rains tomorrow, keep our eyes on Lance Stroll to make sure that it was no fluke that he secured the starting pole!

F-1 live telecast gave way to US Masters' Golf Championship, so there is no F-1 to watch!

Hamilton - the rain master won the Turkish F-1 GP and equalized Michael Shumacher's 7th Worl F-1 Title.

Hamilton has one more year's contract with MB  and if he stays, he has a great chance to set another record of having the most F-1 wins and title, given MB has no competition on the track right now.

The Official Race result:
Hamilton, Perez, Vettel (Would you believe it?  Yes, Vettel!)

Karting is the cradle of F-1 drivers.  All F-1 drivers started at a young age racing karts.  Hamilton is no exception.

Hamilton's Dad was not rich.  He saw a potential in Hamilton and started him at a young age and in order to support Hamilton's interest/enthusiasm in karting, Hamilton's Dad took up 3 jobs to put food on the table + buying karting equipment for Hamilton.

One day, Mclaren's boss (Ron Dennis?) saw Hamilton racing go-karts and had a short conversation with him.  When asked what was his future plan, Hamilton said he would like to race for McLaren (at that time, McLaren was one of the leaders in F-1 racing).

From then on, Ron subsidized Hamilton's involvement in Karting and moved him up to McLaren's training program and eventually McLaren's F-1 Team.

Hamilton almost won his first Drivers' Champion in his first year with McLaren but it was inexperience of a rookie which did him in.  He was leading in the final race of the season, needed only to finish the race to clinch the Championship, but he crashed out.

In the 2nd year (I think) with McLaren, Hamilton won the Drivers' Championship.  From then on, McLaren was never competitive, but Hamilton stayed until one day MB which returned to F-1 but was not competitive, approached Hamilton.

Hamilton's Dad, who was also Hamilton's business manager, was against the idea for sentimental reasons but Hamilton made up his mind and FIRED his Dad as his business manager, and joined MB.

The rest is history!

Anyway, now that Hamilton equalled Michael Schumacher's record of 7 World Championship titles, he has a better than average chance to set up a new record too.

Here is a video showing Hamilton's driving skills even at 13, in his first Series Final, moving from last to first:

Many years ago, I also saw a video of Hamilton racing karts in the rain, and just like the 2020 Turkish F-1 GP which was held in the rain, Hamilton did not start from the pole, but went on to win the race!

Hope you guys enjoy what I wrote.............

Only by watching the video, you will appreciate what the F-1 drivers must endure in a wet race.  Folks, it is not always "glamorous"!
