Why so many telemarketers for air duct cleaning?

Everyday I get at least 1 or more call from telemarketers with Indian accent selling air duct cleaning.
I mean its always air duct cleaning. Never anything else. I don't understand. Does anyone know why?

And does anyone know how to stop them? I already signed up for the National Do Not Call List, but obviously its not helping.

Thanks Captain Obvious! No shit its a scam. But the question is why.

Why of all types of possible scams, why do they keep calling for duct cleaning? Most people don't even need this service.

Clean your own ducts with a shop-vac or a decent vacuum. This is an overpaid job.
as for stopping the spam callers, i tell them straight out to stop calling and they usually do.

In Canada it is illegal to call back a number after being told not to call back. That applies to every caller, including debt collectors.

I always tell them one of the two:

1. I live in an apartment
2. This is an office number

they will be nice and say sorry doesn't apply to you.

Indian call centers man, they may be sharing a list of number that they illeglatemy got

They use duct cleaning as an excuse to get to your house and see if there’s any valuables that they can later come and rob/steal.

i used to get these calls literally 4-5 times a week and its always a different number so i cant even block them.  nowadays i get some automated calls on my cell phone from some chinese lady, its super annoying
