The Chinese F-1 GP has just finished, Hamilton won.  Incidentally, it was F-1's 1,000 race since inception!

Hamilton beat Bottas before the first corner, and led all the way until finish.

LeClerc beat Vettel after the first corner, but was asked by Team MGR to let Vettel thru after about 10 laps and never recovered.

Anyway, Bottas  finished second.  Again it was MB 1-2!

Driver can only do that much, but a competitive engine is the basic ingredient.  Max (Red Bull) hasn't got an engine which has enough power and reliability!

Had Hamilton stayed with McLaren, he would still be an unknown or just one of the also runs.

REMINDER:

2019's Azerbaijan F-1 GP will be held this coming SUNDAY.

IMHO, the track is narrow but challenging, and not as dangerous as Monaco.

A few years back, Vettel INTERNATIONALLY hit Hamilton while they were all following official car after an incident, Vettel got away easily that time.  If I were the Chief Steward, I would disqualify Vettel immediately for his dangerous and immature behaviour + place his racing licence on probation.

Last year, Vettel tried to out brake 2 cars ahead of him in a corner, locked up and lost any chance of a podium finish.

Let's see whether Vettel has matured, his contract with Ferrari is on the line now!

The Official Qualifying Session of 2019's Azerbaijan GP has just finished:

Bottas, Hamilton, Max, Vettel, in the order.
Lecler crashed in Q-2, and did not participate in Q3!

The 2019 Azerbaijan F-1 GP finished the way it started:  Bottas, Hamilton, Vettel.

LeCler had the fatest lap time and the 1 point bonus.  Since he crashed in Q2, did not get a time fast enough to start in a higher position, and therefore was in no position to challenge the leaders.

The 2019 Spanish F-1 GP will be held this coming SUNDAY.

I will be out of town and cannot watch it.  However, there should be live telecast of this event, around 0700.  Please check your local TV Guide for the latest time.


Once the races move to Europe, we will start seeing closer racing, especially the 2nd tier teams.
