2018 FORMULA 1 CHAMPIONSHIP

There are 13 races left for 2018.  Which Team and Driver could win 2018's Championship could well be decided by the end of July as there is a race almost one per week.

Both MB and Hamilton are leading.  This combination certainly has a better chance than others.

IMHO, Ferrari cheated with battery storage and usage issue, FIA turned a blind eye and about a month ago, and after investigation said "Ferrari will comply from now on", making fans interpret this to be "Ferrari did not comply previously but will now".  What kind of joke is this?

Vettel's on track behaviour in 2017 Azabaijan GP deserved much more severe penalty.   Vettel got off also lightly in the most recent race - the French GP.  Despite FIA'S LENENIENT treatment of both incidents,  they will haunt Vettel in the long run!

Results of the Belgium  F-1 GP:

Bottas, Hamilton, & Vettel.

All eyes will be on Vettel's dirty driving at the first corner this time!

It was a disasterous day for MB Team.

Bottas, the pole sitter, who lost his pole position before even reaching the first corner.  Then, he pulled out of the race due to mechanical reason.

Hamilton led for 1/3 of the race, then had to pull out for the same reason.

Max drove well and was rewarded with a win.

2nd place went to Raikkenon who drove the race of his life, setting fastest lap after fastest lap, just to prove to Ferrari that the Team should sign him for another year instead of giving up on him.

3rd place went to Vettel, who lost his 3rd Grid position before the start for impeding another driver during the qualifying session.  Finally, the Stewards had enough of Vettel's tricks.

Anyway, I think Ferrari overtook MB in both Driver and Constructors Championship in  mid season!

Don't forget that the 2018 British F-1 GP is this coming Sunday.

MB better show competitors and fans its real force or the season is slipping away!

The British F-1 GP will be tomorrow.

Lewis Hamilton secured the pole with medium tire, while Vettel and Kimi both used super soft.  So, the time difference should be more if all tires are equal.

Hamilton might lose his lead at the first corner because drivers MUST use the same set of tires which they qualified on.

Hamilton used medium soft, while Vettel and Kimi used super soft, which means the SSs will have better grip at the start.

The advantage of the medium is that they can cover longer distance without tire change, which means one less pit stop or no pit stop at all for a short race.

Hamilton spinned out getting out the first lap.
Trying keep the medium tires as long as possible.
Maybe change it to soft in the last 25 laps?

Hamilton just pitted. Staying with the medium soft.
Probably won't pit anymore. 25 laps to go.

Bottas in 2nd. Trying to close the gap.
Vettel will try to keep his tires till the end when pitted at lap 21 / 22.
I think they used the same strategy in Montreal.
