王雪紅：留下的員工薪水一定比谷歌高

宏達電昨（21）日宣布將Pixel手機團隊賣給Google（谷歌），團隊約2000名員工直接取得進入外商門票，同日下午宏達電召開「員工溝通大會」，宏達電董事長王雪紅當眾承諾，留下來的員工們「薪水一定會比去Google的人還要高」。

  
根據《聯合報》報導，被「出售」的研發團隊成員，昨日陸續收到電子郵件通知，大多數人收到「您即將加入Google公司」的歡迎信函，僅少數人收到「歡迎繼續留在宏達電大家庭」的訊息。
員工溝通大會於下午2時召開，現場開放宏達電員工向Google主管提問；Google承諾會提供直接聘用、年資照算、福利比照Google等條件，王雪紅則口頭承諾留下來的員工「薪資不會比去Google少」，一定會更高。
報導指出，被留下來的工程師透露，加薪空間大小還不確定，未來工作內容除了作手機，還新增AR（擴增實境）與VR（虛擬實境）；另有被留下來的員工抱怨，考績較好的人竟未取得進入Google門票，直酸這似乎是認真上班的反效果。

HTC's iPhone was very good but they could not break into the large US  market due to "monopoly" of the big players.

Then they lost the China market to Hua Wei, etc which sealed its fate.

What a shame, HTC phones could be a world class winner!

US market is controlled by originally subsidized Telecom LOCK phones, now installment payment based.
Major resellers for Apple only sells Telecom locked phones, not even unlocked phones due to the lack of commission from Vendors of phones.
Minority of general public will pay off the lump sum to buy a SIM Free phone.  So other unlocked phones will unlikely to break into the smartphone market unless that behavior is changed.

Case in point, my Honor 8 has 4 G memory and 64 G storage,  Iphone 8 is 64G, but only 2G memory.
So if one installs more APPs, the memory will slow down or even full with no room to install more APPs.

My 4 G has no issue there.
Granted Apple may have more fine tuning on their hardware to minimize the use of memory, but 2 G vs 4 G, really who wins.
