The well known groundhog "Wiarton Willie" died today. He is 13 years old. The albino groundhog whose annual weather prognostication is a national event and draws large crowds every Groundhog Day (Feb 2). A memorial service is planned for Dat. Sept 30 at 11 am in Wiarton's Bluewater Park.
