I don't know man, it's more so about how you wear them.  I remb these two hot UK girls my buddy had over during uni days.  I thought they dressed really well, like those models in magazines.   Later through conversation I found out they did all their shopping at the local value village.  Then on the opposite of the spectrum, you have people rocking mismatched pieces of brand name clothing with giant logo that just screams distasteful.
At the end of the day, great style isn't always associated with price.

valued village has branded stuff in good conditions too...for men, the quality of the dress shirt really matters. for girl, i don't know, just show more meat.

That's mostly true but I do like the layering look, especially when it's done well.  Can be more sexy than just showing meat.

All the thrift stores are time consuming, and usually shitty clothes, not good enough for either work or casual. I did pick up a brand new Uniqlo polo for 10 bucks, which fits me perfectly.

Brooks Brothers is my go-to place for polos.

I was just saying you don't need to spend hundreds on brand names to look good.  You should check out Kent Wang for polos, great construction, classic fit though.

No I'm more about fit than brand names, and Value Village rarely has clothes that fit me perfectly and you never get exactly what you want, might as well stick to brands that fit me well.

Not only that, Value Village is expensive considering they sell a beatup polo shirt for 10 bucks. Your point is more valid if you say Winners/Marshalls. Value Village is mostly shit.

Lol, you completely missed my point.  We have the same idea, it's not about brand name but how well the clothes fit and match.  I just used Value village as an example, not saying you shop there.  Good to know that you agree.
