Europe and Ontario testing basic income plan

Europe (think Sweden and Norway) as well as Ontario are piloting basic income plan.

Ontario is going to have it in 3 small towns with income of 17k for individual who is invited to the pilot test.
I guess that will replace welfare, low income assistance etc all bundled into one monthly check for the person.  Actually fact with current multiple assistance plans and all the HIGHLY paid civil servants to administer and monitor the applicants is costing probably more money.  Just guarantee the income and paid it.  Assuming the applicant is proven to be incapable of earning income anyway.

Case in point, when applying for UIC, one has to make an effort to get job interview etc when he is not really possible to secure one.  Just going through the motion to fill out the paperwork in order to qualify for the benefit.  No one really is going to examine the paper submitted anyway.  So why bother to file and kill the trees.

Or the other hand, there are proposals to TAX the robots being used to replace person in the manufacturing or even service industries just like a real person paying income tax.

Probably aggregate all income support program into a single one with less administrative requirement.

You know any program requires administrator who could be high price civil servants collecting big bucks and do nothing.

No I do not have any info.
