积分大波动 / Members' Points-Score Disruption

早晨起来，发现自己降级了，而很多江湖老狼或者狼中之王(eg Hornyme) 积分都少了上千, 这对努力发帖做贡献的人不公平吧? 怎么回事？ 希望不要轻易改变积分方式，

昨晚我們在論壇積分制度上作了些改動.

例如: 已前一直潛水也可以每天加分 (只要登陸了就會隨著時間自動加), 也有些人為了刷積分而一直灌水; 在這些方面我們都作出了調整.

所以有些會員的積分會增加了, 亦有些會員的積分會減少了. 對於被減分的會員, 我們不是有心針對, 還望見諒.
相信現在會比以前公平很多. 加分升級以後主要靠分享有用的資信.

We have revised the points system to make it more fair. From now on points will be based mainly on contribution of useful information. To those who now have less points than before the transition, please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Now please DEFINE USEFUL INFO ?

Just like Aeroplan or TnT receipt, they printed out how many points we get after each transaction.
Could we tell whether we blow water or have fun or contribute to the site after we posted?
Foul language will be AUTOMATICALLY deleted too right.  I hate those posts.  No manners.

To be honest, "useful info" is very subjective, and for a long time we have tried to avoid the issue. However, recently the issue has surfaced again, and I've been receiving so many complaints about "junk" posts which many people find annoying (and sometimes hijacking the entire topic while burying useful info). Thus, going forward, the distinction between useful vs junk will be at our discretion (though we will try to lean towards a liberal definition of useful), and junk posts will be deleted. As for abusive/foul language, that will not be tolerated. If any member come across such abusive/foul language, please report it to us (instead of retaliating in kind), and also allow us some time to respond as we are not here 24/7.

I don't think the problem is useful vs pointless discussion.
The main problem is most of the replies are way off topic.

There is a chat board on this forum.
You can post many useless and pointless discussion there.
Why discuss human psychology and Chinese poetry in review board?
You can argue if that is "useful" or not, but definitely off topic.
And posting in chat board earn 0 point will discourage abuse.

Chat board does provide useful info on NON mm related info.

I am willing to take in 0 point status for all  posts I make now .  Just for fun.

Now that I can post head shot and signature.  That is all I need the points for and no need for any more.

Way too many useful reviews were hijacked and became off topic public chatroom
