This weekend, Austria will host the next F-1 GP.

The Championship will also enter its mid-stage.  Any Teams or drivers that could do well during this "mid term", will be a force to be reckoned with for the balance of the year.

Once the races move back to Europe, we will have live telecast, usually start at 0800 local time, but check your local listings.

In today's official practice session of the Austrian GP , MB's Hamilton recorded the fastest lap.  However, it was only a practice session and I will not give it too much weight.

There will be a short practice tomorrow, then the official qualifying session to determine the grid positions.

Based on previous races, I feel that Ferrari has faster cars this year.  If "set-up" is correct for the corresponding track layout, MB will not have an easy time as in 2016, and 2015.

Qualifying has finished.  Bottas, Vettel, then Hamilton.

However, Hamilton will be given a penalty of 5 grid positions for changing a gear box without completing 6 races.

There will be live telecast at 0755.  We will see whether Bottas can hang on to his grid position to prove his worth; also whether Hamilton can crawl up the ladder, then pressure Vettel.

The Austrian GP has just finished.  It was an exciting race, particularly the last 10 laps:

Bottas, Vettel, Ricciardo, Hamilton.

British F1 GP is on this coming SUN and it is Hamilton's home track.

Hamilton has to make a move starting this weekend or it might be too late.

The Official Qualifying Session for the British GP has finished, the fastest lap times will decide the starting grid position, and they are: Hamilton, Raikkonen, Vettel, and Bottas  for the first two rows.

I checked my TV Guide, there shall be no live telecast of this event which is very odd.  Need to check again later this evening.

Re British GP.

Not only that there is no live telecast, there wont be a taped version as well, because the British F1 GP clashed with other program,s such as Mens Wimbleton Tennis final, Tour de France Cycling, and of course the Toronto Indy.

Anyway, the race started well.  Hamilton led, but it is way too early to say who might win.

After 46 laps, Hamilton still led Raikkonen by 4.6", Bottas moved into third after grid penalty of 5 places for changing gear box.

This is final, British GP has finished with MB finishing 1 - 2.

Both Ferrari had punctures toward the remaining laps, and were off the podium.

The championship is now an open race!!
