MALAYSIAN FORMULA 1 GP:

I believe Vettel of Ferrari's season and his bid for 2017's championship is over because he qualified last while his archrival and championship leader qualified first.

Pole position for the Malaysian F-1 will be Hamilton, Kimi, Max, and Daniel for the first 2 rows.

This is probably be the last Malaysian F1 as the contract is up for renewal but there has not been enough sponsorships and spectators to make an economically feasible event!

Don't think you want to know about the live telecast of the event.

There will be live telecast but at 0255, not a typing error, 2:55 a.m. SUN!!

The Malaysian F-1 has just finished, and only a real racing fan will wake up at 0300 to watch it, and I did!  

It was Max Verstappen, the birthday boy of 20, won it.  Hamilton came in 2nd, Daniel Ricciardo was third.

My comments:

1.  MB was not as fast as Ferrari and Red Bull in the race.  
2.  Max Verstappen finally proved that he's a future star.
3.  Vettel started last but finished in 4th.
5.  The Canadian driver Lance Stroll started 15th, but finished 8th.  He can do better with a better car and team!

The next stop is in Suzuka Circuit, Japan.  This place, per past history, is known to have a lot of rainy days during the Japanese F-1.  

The rain drivers will excel, and the rain drivers are Hamilton, Verstappen, Vittel, Stroll (Canadian)!

There are only 5 more F-1 races left in 2017, namely, Japan, USA, Mexico, Brazil, and Abu Dhabi.  3 in OCT, and 2 in NOV.

Hamilton has a commanding lead, unless his car has mechanical failure, he is expected to win the 2017 championship.  On the other hand, Vettel must finish high in all the remaining races, or he couldn't even hang on to his second position as Bottas is not that far behind in points.

Even Mother Nature stepped in to prove my knowledge of the Suzaka Circuit, it rained heavily during Practice Session 2 ..........

Keep it up, Mother Nature, give me more endorsement!

Hamilton, Bottas, Vettel in that order when the official qualifying closed.  However, Bottas changed his gearbox and will receive a 5 place penalty, so Hamilton an Vettel will start on the front row with Hamilton 1/2" faster per lap.

We could guess outcome of the race.

Lance Stroll, the young Canadian driver, qualified 18th, in line with his obsolete engine.  Stroll need rain to improve or can forget about the race.
