December 13-4 FOMC meeting Rate change expected

This is expected to be up 0.25 or even 0.5 due to Trump election.
Will negatively impact CAD as a result.  (of course the other main factor is Oil price, as of today, higher and therefore more favorable to CAD).

Will try to exchange USD after that meeting to get more CAD.

Anxious awaiting the decision from the Fed   FOMC meeting on Wednesday.

Either up or down for exchange rate.  93% chance it will go up .25 or 25 basis points.
Hold my horses to get CAD until then.

Sure enough Fed Fund rate went up .25.

And Carl Icahn is appointed as Trump senior unpaid advisor.  That means even FASTER rate increases.

Carl is against the slow rate of interest rate increase and may want Trump to offer deal for Yellen to RESIGN.  She can not be fired (sorry Trump).
