I don't like that spa strip, too high concentration of them, like the famous supermarket joint.
The day will come

I am almost certain that day will come when YRP shuts down that plaza. There was one time I was driving to my appointment and I saw 4 cop cars parked outside so I left. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Don't need to worry about sky falling. Remember 5500 Yonge, 30 Clegg, and now the T&T condo. Those places are even higher traffic. If ever authorities wanna clear out the place, they just need to give a hint to condo or plaza management who will give the hint to the shops. They will leave quickly. No big incident necessary, the cops and local municipal councilors don't want a public embarrassment either. Besides, spas are very safe compared to incall. Remember that spas are GOVERNMENT LICENSED businesses. How can you get in trouble to be in a legit business, unless you are super unlucky to be caught with your dick still inside a pussy. The risk of dying in a car accident on the way to the spa is higher than that.

15 or more years ago, I was having fun in a spa near Keele and Hwy 7, just bodyslide only, all of a sudden door opened, there is no door lock, Kwilo plain clothes popo came in, ordered me get my clothes on, ordered the mm go to another room, he has a gun around his waist, ordered me to stay inside the room, I was so scared, getting ready to call my lawyer, peeped outside the room, 2 or more popo walking around, popo came back in, asked me what was I doing, I told him everything, I emphazise no real penetration involved, he checked my drivers licence, wrote some notes and said this is my lucky day, let me go. When I walked out, I saw 2 black chevy suburbans parked outside, and some black coloured van......I don't have the guts to ask to see their badges
What I am trying to say is, its so much easier if popo wants to break into a ground floor spa than checking out all the floors and different units in the supermarket bldg. They can wiped down that spa strip in one trip. They only need 4 suburbans and more popos.

Well lets put that into perspective. That was 15 years ago, and Keele is a bad area. I guess based on what you said that nothing happened to you right? My best guess based on available information you given me is those cops were there for something else. Maybe drugs, who knows.

What you are saying is like, I almost got in a car accident 15 years ago while driving in a third world country so I'm not going to drive anymore, not even in a first world country.

All the available information on arrests have been made on those violent pimps and Johns who visit underaged escorts from Backpage. Spas on the other hand cause no trouble for cops and pay taxes to the city.

Its good to be careful, but fear mongering is no good. In fact its even dangerous because that is "boy who cried wolf". Lets face it, we men will continue to hunt, that is a fact. So by scaring them away from some place that is actually relatively safe, that will drive them to other places that are actually less safe.

Ya SPAs are licensed but it doesn't include anything more then massage. Just saying. A lot of spas have monitor in the room so the girl can see outside while she is on top of you ( giving you a massage ) if they see a popo they will hop off.

Years ago, spas of these nature all hided in industrial plazas, they do not want publicity, because they know these are vice establishments and too high profile will cause popos to give them trouble. They are licenced but there are still rules and regulations such as no naked bodies of the attendents......
Now this famous spa strip is located right at the busy intersection of Leslie/7, a Timmy's and a motel plaza with 5 or 6 spas not too far away from the old spa strip that was busted years ago near E Wilmot and Leslie, I think only old wolfs can remember.
Bear in mind these are not legit massage treatment clinics and lately actitvities are going way over the top limits and any new customer will be offered extras......half or full and price.
So much for spa history, of course senior wolf like me do admire younger wolves courage and risk taking abilities but one last word for everyone play happy and play safe

I can understand why you think that way, but its not the way things actually are.

The police have stated on the record that they operate on "harm reduction" approach. That means they are focused on pimping, trafficking, violence/coercion, underage. They know they can never eradicate this industry so they are focused on keeping it controlled. The unspoken rule is, 你不給他們制造麻煩他們就不來找你麻煩.

To give an actual example. Just this summer, a new spa called Bubble Spa opened up on the busiest stretch of Main Street Unionville which is a popular tourist area. Local residents and businesses complained, the city councillor promised to get rid of it. So what happened in the end? Was there a police operation to bust the place and arrest everybody inside? No. What happened is the city simply sent them a letter to let them know they weren't welcomed there and that legal action would be undertaken if they didn't close down. The owner got the message and quietly closed down. No trouble for anybody. The end.

You see. There is a lot of work to conduct an operation. A lot of costs involved. A long court battle to prosecute. Its not something they prefer to do. Nobody else wants a high profile case that will cause will make the neighborhood look bad and hurt property values. Sting operations are usually targeted at drug deals and violent pimps who employ underaged MMs. If the cops want a spa to disappear, all they need to do is send an unofficial message. The owners will 識做 and leave. That is what happened to Bubble Spa and that is also what happened in the past at some of the popular condos with lots of incalls. Keepers just left quietly after they got the message.

The idea that cops will bust down the door and charge in to nail a few Johns for some minor charges is just fantasy. We aren't that important on the cops list of priorities.

Does anyone remember the famous "Korean Fruits garage" years ago? They named their mms under fruits such as orange, apple......They started off operating off Yonge/Cummer, a small house oddly sitting near Yonge street, then they moved to townhouses near Yonge/16th, and the last time before they got busted they were at a residential district near Runnymede/7, right behind Chalmers Gate.
One day they were the front page of Sing Tao, with pictures of mms and the keeper hiding their face with papers/handbags, they got busted. A few johns were arrested together as well. This is the result of being too high profile and the keeper picked the wrong spot to set up the business. Since then houses, townhouses are considered high risks and 1 on 1 condo set ups become the mainstream. But even the famous Joedao, Toe88 and Zenful were also busted, they all operated in condo units.
I am sure the popos are more interested in busting the operators than a few johns, but for sure I don't want to be taken to the popo stations and have to call my wife to bail me out

True. Nobody wants to risk. However, the examples you gave are not entirely correct.

JoeDoa was busted because he called the cops on himself after "big ear hole" gangsters came looking for him due to gambling debts.

Zenful was never busted, none of their customers got arrested. Even keeper (actually is manager) Timmy never got in trouble. The garage closed down because the real owner got arrested for other crimes. If you know who that owner was, he is the Korean agent that supplied MM to many other garages. He got taken down due to cross border money laundering as well as human trafficking.

Toe88 was taken down because RCMP was investigating underaged escorts over in Montreal. As you may know, Toe88 uses some Montreal Gwei Mui sometimes. His Montreal connections got him in trouble. However none Toe88 customers were arrested either.

Once again, I agree that its good to be careful and play it safe. However I don't agree that spas are high risk. Once again I point to the Bubble Spa example. Even stupidly recklessly high profile spa like that one didn't end up with any bust or arrest, the authorities simply sent a warning a letter and that is all it takes.
