Nothing is foolproof but a reference is just one of many ways to show a little about you.
Be it a forum ID that shows you are a good poster thru a pm or a referral from another provider or agency.
I have had SPs and agencies as my reference.
Maybe you can try seeing one of the girls at agencies with girls that have a social media (twitter) presence. Maybe see them once or twice and ask if they can be your reference. If you are clean, nice, fun and trimmed/shaved you will have glowing references.
