That is right.
You can ask people to do anything for you with money.
But you cannot get them to get your sickness (unless you pass germs to them) FOR YOU. Get OLD FOR YOU etc.

Actually if you read any "hapiness research" done by top universities like harvard etc. (yes this is a real field formally called "positive psychology") money makes people happy only until about 75-80K believe it or not.
After that people don't get happy from money. You can buy a maserati but in 3 months you will be over it no doubt. Its called hedonistic adaptation.
This is why I stopped chasing all those ferrari fobs in my hood. You will never be happy from just money and there will always be someone more baller than u!
yes, I read the same report about happiness. I would argue though, thst you need more than $80,000 per year to be happy. People with financial freedoms, tend to be happier than those living on a tight budget. I believe one metric of measuring happiness is able to do what you want to do and enjoy life.

Yeah the study i read said about 75-80K but that's an average of a broad study.
I think it depends more on where you live.
Ex. I can drive an Audi S5 but if all my neighbours have lambos I'll feel like a chump.
Also agree with you doing what you love is one of the main factors of hapiness even according to the study but thats not necessarily dependent on money (it is somewhat).
yes, you can live in a cave as a monk and be happy. as long as that's what you want to do. Money is not everything but usually it helps. Most religious organizations ask for money everyday! A friend of mine wanted to take a year off work to volunteer at his church but the Eldets asked him to continue working and just give 100% of his pay to the church!
