Dysfunctional US congress passes stupid bill today

How can US have a sane governing body?
Repuplican congress passed a bill that is going to the Senate and is told that it WILL be VETOed by Obama.
The bill is a Syrian refuges screening bill.  It says that Top ranking officials like Homeland Securities Secretary and others will need to sign off on EVERY refugee application to ensure that he or she is checked out to be NOT a security risk.  This is kid's play.  Do we have over 18 adults in a democratically elected law writing body?????
They wasted their time on these things, rather than finding ways to get rid of terrorists, improve the economy, creating safer conditions for citizens.
I think Canada may have better governing body.

How can US have a sane governing body ~~~~ It's very thoughtfulness that leader not cope with congressmen in supreme democrat society which the world pilgrimage.

USA created so many conflicts in "other Countries" congress by means of "democrat reports", "human right sensors", "Freedom of acts" etc. "Other Counties" pilgrims blindly brought into their own congress (to challenge leadership). Now, it's herself (USA) act on it.

USA citizens have higher quality of political sense. They knew that it's ONLY a politic battle and limited only in Congress (not on street).

But, it is different in Taiwan, Hong Kong and some other Countries. They brought such into street fight & all level of societies!

Yup, it is scary, could be overrode by congress if vetoed.
Whatever the reason is for US intervention in Middle East (naive to think that US is only interested in liberating people from dictatorship)  of course is OIL supply.  Just like Vietnam is containment of Communism.   The chaos is caused mainly by big powers and tribal religious version (Sunni vs Shite just a different type of Muslim, similar to Catholics vs Protestants in N. Ireland).  Sunni lost power in Iraq and need to rebel for their people.
I digressed here, back to topic, US politics is really interesting because of democracy.   Votes of rural and rich areas mainly Republicans,   Urban and poor people mainly Democrats, problem is poor do not often vote.  Total vote counts may be higher for Democrats and favoring presidents.  Rural and suburban area dominated by Republicans and getting more seats in Congress.   When Republicans (doctor or real estate tycoon ?) take over the Presidency, wonder what they will do.   Unless US lowers the corporate tax rate, US companies are doing the tax inversion route to do so, think Burger King, Big Pharma etc moving to offshore to lower their tax rate.  All the US profits staying OFFSHORE and they borrow big time HERE in US at low rates.
Minimal infrastructure spending (like China doing big time) and they are crumbling.

將中國駐美使館前街改名的提案，由爭取共和黨總統提名的參議員克魯茲(Ted Cruz)提出，議案獲參議院全體通過，消息指，民主黨參議員以通過有關提案，換取克魯茲停止杯葛總統奧巴馬的外交官提命。

克魯茲的發言人表示，克魯茲已停止杯葛奧巴馬對駐挪威及瑞典兩名大使的提名，及另外2名國務院官員的任命，參議院亦確認通過上述人事任命。

但白宮發言人表示，奧巴馬的高級幕僚建議總統否決參議院的「劉曉波廣場」議案。他說，白宮將持續向中國施壓要求改善人權狀況，同時釋放劉曉波及其他政治犯，白宮不認為命名「劉曉波廣場」的提案能達到以上目的。中國大使館發言人朱海權亦反對議案，指這完全是毫無意義的挑釁行為，呼籲美方停止這類舉動。

美國眾議院早在去年6月24日，批准把華盛頓特區的中國駐美國使館門前街道改名為「劉曉波廣場」，若有關建議最終獲通過，中國駐美國大使館未來的地址會變成「劉曉波廣場一號」。中國外交部曾稱此舉為挑釁。

眾議院的改名議案由包括民主黨領袖佩洛西（Nancy Pelosi）、共和黨眾議員沃爾夫(Frank Wolf)在內的13名眾議員提出。中國駐美使館門前道路原名「國際路」，提案建議更改其中一段街道的名稱，以紀念中國政治異議人士劉曉波。

劉曉波在2009年因參與起草呼籲中國進行民主改革的《零八憲章》，被當局以「顛覆國家政權」的罪名判監11年，2010年劉曉波獲頒諾貝爾和平獎。

Now with the death of Supreme Court justice.  I think his obesity gave him heart attack or whatever.

If senate controlled by repulicans will not confirm a nominee, then the court will be of 8 justices.

Anything got a tie (4-4) will mean the LOWER COURT ruling stands.  What a screw up system it is.

They should say, Executive branch presents 5 nominees and one should be selected within 6 months of vacany.  Not one at a time that slows down the process.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Federal Supreme Court ..... ! A court without jury. As well as district courts.
IMO ... Juror really a joke in (high) court system [Juror has no legal background but have terminated power in high court?]

Does China has Jury system? Or any other countries?
