Then it would be too late don't you think

Canadians voted him in.  (I did not.)

If he makes good all his campaign promises, we are in more trouble.

It is now official.  One of the suicide bombers was a Syrian who posed as a refugee and came by way of Greece.

JT didn't want screening of refugee claimants, SH advocated for screening.  JT is in charge right now, let's hope that he could get away with his naive thoughts.

The above is a panel discussion on Canada accepting 25000 refugees after the Paris massacre.  Even his supporters are now saying screening will be in place, but Canadians want to hear directly from the horse's mouth, because JT was the one who said no to screening during the election campaign.

Let me state my position, I have nothing against accepting refugees, they are people just like us, unfortunately thrown into the middle of military conflict, and are trying hard to bring their families to safety, but for God's sake, screen them for health and security reasons so that they will not be draining the Canadian welfare system.

Canada screen legitimate immigrant applications, why should Middle East refugees be treated any differently?

About 140 people died, that's how much people died middle east / Israeli -Palestinian conflict died a day. However, no one bats an eye when those people died, but when it happened to France, people from the first world countries goes into hypocrite mode. My condolences to the lives that was lost during the terrorist attacks, but I don't think it's right to be 厚此薄彼

P.S. I'm probably one of your friends who didn't go French flag mode on Facebook.

Agreed with Dragon Bro last comment and your comments.
I lay the blame on the major powers (US and Russia partially in Afghanistan) in meddling in Middle East without a well  thought through plan.  Making a power vacuum by declaring Democracy in Middle East countries is just insane.  It will only work with a large middle class educated population.  Now that Genie is out of the bottle with tribal or religious warfare.  Look at Serbia, Kosovo etc before and now Iraq.  It was bound by dictatorship and without proper  means to control the diversity it just snapped.  Even living with poverty is better than this destructive warring factions for the population.
