Although I've tried nuru massage at some non asian spas before this was my first time getting this service at an asian spa. QQ Spa is a newcomer in the spa business and tries to position itself as a premium spa compared to majority of asian spas in toronto. By contrast, QQ is far more upscale for the same price.
Yaya has a beautiful doll face and mesmerizing eyes. She led me to a large room that with two massage tables which placed side by side can substitute for a queen sized bed. Despite being a spinner, Yaya has strong hands and gave me a decent massage. Then she dimmed the lights and asked me if I knew what nuru was. I said yes and asked if there was extra charge for it. Turns out its offered for the same price as a regular bodyslide so of course I went for it.
For those who don't know what nuru is, it is a special gel that is think and slippery that is designed specially for bodysides and works better than regular massage oil. If you have not experienced it before, I strongly recommend trying it.
Yaya told me she is the only MM at QQ Spa who offers the nuru bodyslide service and she buys the gel herself from Japan.
