Honestly the situation is different for everyone.  We all know cheating is wrong but some of us still do it because we are weak and give in to our basic desire.

I cheated on my gf/wife in the past but I love her deeply, it is not without regret and she won't able to accept the truth.  It'd hurt her too much and not sure if she can live without me (she almost died this year in hospital but that's another story...).

Anyway I guess ultimately you have to ask yourself how much do you love him and can you forgive him; if yes to both questions then you actually have a rare opportunity to have a honest discussion with him that most couple won't ever able to have.

I agree that op should really think long and hard about how much she loves her BF and if she can ever forgive him (he slept with working MMs and you have to live with it for life), but considering he's her first love, I'm gonna go ahead and tell her:
You can live without him, thinking otherwize just means you're too young and haven't seen other guys, this isn't a Korean drama or a fair tale, most people at some point of their lives probably thought that they can't live without someone but guess what, most of them moved on and realized otherwize, so he's not your only option, lots of good guys out there. 雄性动物目的是为了保证自己的基因能够延传下去，而且越多越好，这就是为什么很多动物，尤其是灵长类动物，一只alpha silverback gorilla可以有6只雌性跟着。而为什么动物不喜欢自己的mate和和别的雄性交配是因为有可能剩下的后代不是自己的，没有自己的genetic code。至于人的话得去理解为什么不能容忍女朋友去乱搞，这个情绪是从哪里来的，还有就是你对性是个什么看法。首先人是可以有birth control的，性说白了其实就是受外界刺激导致下丘脑与脑垂体分泌荷尔蒙(oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin etc.)，让你感觉舒服罢了，没有什么特别的。就和你享受食物，音乐，毒品一样。
何况一个relationship不只是建立在性和外表上的，有很多其他因素在里面，光是因为一个人和别人发生了性关系并不能代表他就会抛弃自己的对象
