Well actually you can verify if you are from the same city and can test her local knowledge. I remember a few years ago, I did Nana@SG who later worked at every Chinese garage in Toronto and is now Kimmy@MW. She told me she was from Taiwan. I asked which part and she said Taipei, and myself having been to Taipei a couple of times talked about some local stuff and she drew a complete blank.

First time I met she, she greeted me with Cantonese, but her Mandarin is just as fluent, last time I saw her she claimed Taiwan is an inseparable part of China.

I merely found it funny because someone from Taiwan would never say that, that's why I thought she wasn't from Taiwan after all.

Over on the red board, some wolfs like to brag about personal details about a MM's life, so I can understand why a MM would be reluctant to reveal anything about her life so telling a lie is a polite way of saying "none of your business"

they are trying to protect themselves.
