OBAMA'S LEGACY

Obama ties his legacy to Iran deal:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/02/po ... a-legacy/index.html

Iran's intention of building a uranium enrichment plant is to build a nuclear bomb, period, although Iran claimed to have nuclear facilities for their own energy needs.   Iran is one of the world's leading oil exporter and it needs alternative energy, give me a break, who is Iran trying to convince?

The "Deal" only delays Iran's progress NOT stopping Iran from building a nuclear bomb, neither does USA have the right to stop any country for possessing nuclear bombs.

Iran bankrolls terrorist activities in the Middle East, lifting sanctions only allow Iran to have access to Western technology, $ from oil sales & frozen assets, which in turn will make these extra-territorial activities easier & less painful.

Yes, the "deal" gives "monitoring" to the outside world.  The question is, do we know where to monitor?  Will Iran allow full access to secretive & ALL facilities?

I tend to agree with Israel's PM, any deal with Iran is a bad deal but Obama has only a legacy in mind.

Let us say that Iran will not live up to the "deal" & in a few years, after acquiring more $ & technology, kicks all nuclear observers out of the country & starts in earnest in resuming the building of a nuclear bomb, (bearing in mind that Iran is currently only about 1-2 year from building one) what will USA or Middle East countries do?

USA will do nothing because nuclear war would mean world catastrophy & American lives are more valuable than others, that is why Putin played this card quite well in Crimea & Ukraine.

As for Iran's neighbours in the Middle East, that is a totally different story, I can bet my last bottom dollar that Saudi Arabia will launch its own nuclear program to counter act.

Once Obama deserted its long time ally of Mubarak of Egypt, USA-Saudi Arabia relations has turned lukewarm & USA's influence on Saudi Arabia has greatly reduced.  The Saudis firmly believes that once USA gains oil independence (USA's shoal oil drilling* technology will achieve this), Middle East will be on the back burner, the Saudis will have to take care of trouble on its front door steps.

(* Saudi Arabia's refusal to reduce oil output while there is an over supply is to kill off USA's shoal oil drilling industry!)

Jimmy Carter pushed the Iran Clerics into power, Obama will create nuclear conflicts in the Middle East!

Oh yes, the "deal" is not yet finalized:

The respective negotiators must present the deal for their Government's approval.

1.  For Iran, the Ayatollah (check spelling) has the final say.
2.  For USA, it must go through the Congress, then the Senate, unfortunately Obama's Democratic Party has lost control of both.  (Do 747 members remember about 2-3 months ago, I stated that DP's loss of control of both Houses was significant?  This is an opportunity to see how Obama maneuvers thru turbulent waters!)
3.  For other countries, just rubber stamping the deal.

Iran said lift the sanctions or no deal:

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/04/0 ... ear-bill/index.html

This is the best statement for world peace!

Once sanction/ban is lifted, Iran will have access to frozen assets & technology which are required to produce a nuclear bomb.

If/when Iran has the H-bomb, USA will have even less appetite for a nuclear war as witnessed by Putin's bluff tactics.  Then for self protection & influence in the Region, Saudi Arabia will build one too, USA cannot ask SA to stop if it cannot stop Iran.  All of a sudden, every country wants one & will have one.

All it takes is for ISIS or Al Queda to topple a government with nuclear bomb, then all hell breaks loose.

This is what an Arab political analyst think of Obama:

Tension mounts after Iran detained a Marshall Island-flagged ship which USA is obliged to protect:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/30/po ... f-hormuz/index.html

1.  IMHO, this is good news because US Congress & Senate will now review Obama's "detente maneuver" with Iran with a different light.

2.  It will probably knock some senses into Obama's thick skull.

3.  Any tension at the Strait of Hormuz will jack up world's oil prices.  If you don't have energy stock, this might be a good time to buy!

The most interesting news in the past week was both India & Saudi Arabia decided to acquire French-made fighter jets.

Saudis' decision to buy French instead of American was surely a slap on Obama's face because SA has always been a loyal customer of US military hardware.

As I have posted in #1 above, SA's relationship with US started to turn sour once Obama deserted its long standing supporter of 30 years in the middle east - Murbarak of Egypt.

Obama's desire to have a deal with Iran - SA's enemy/opponent, regardless of implications in the Middle East, pushed SA over the cliff.

Jimmy Carter deserted the Shah of Iran & ushered in Islamic extremists into Iran.

Obama, if successful in finalizing a nuclear deal, will make Iran stronger & have a louder voice in ME affairs.

The bottom line?  Strengthening your enemy while isolating your friends, USA's influence in the Middle East will dwindle!

obombo's one legacy: a deeply divided congress, a nation left in disunion, and international credibility torn in shreds

well you can't blame it all on him though, i say the entire upper echelon is corrupt to its core.

Blame it on the voters who put Obama into the White House, particularly the African-Americans who voted overwhelmingly in favour of him.

well it is a long story how the US ended up the way they are. for obama's part, the unconvincing manner in which he passed the healthcare bill left some bad taste and the thought amongst the republitards that they have been "cheated" of a political victory by mere technicalities.

The King of SA to skip a Gulf State Council meeting hosted by Obama.  To save face, White House staff said  they knew before-hand & coordinated his absense.

We can draw our conclusion that this bi-lateral relationship is worse than expected!  Poor Obama.
