THE 5 BEST BREAKS IN SNOOKER HISTORY:

Viewing time is 57+'.

For non-snooker players who are not familiar with term "break", it refers to the points which a player scores when it is his turn to play.

In snooker, the highest possible score/break is 147.

Coming back to the above video, there are 5 episodes, not all 147 but brilliant plays:

1.  The first episode/frame (game) is about the first 147 recorded on live TV, & by a Canadian professional snooker player Cliff Thornburn.  This 147 started with a fluke.

The first 147 in "modern times" was achieved by a British player, John something (can't remember his name now).  Unfortunately, TV crew did not turn on the recording equipment!

2.  The 2nd episode is about Ronnie O'Sullivan's 147 in record time of just over 5'.  A frame for the average player takes 15 - 20', achieving the maximum in 5+' was unheard of and an indication of Ronnie's talent.

3.  The 3rd episode is about Stephen Hendry's 147 against Ronnie O'Sullivan, both players were at their prime, and it was the deciding frame of a major championship. Hendry took the only chance, plus making the maximum.

4.  The 4th episode is very impressive and a glimpse of Alex "Hurricane" Higgins's (self-proclaimed "  Peoples' Champion) snooker talent.
AH was 57 points behind, against Jimmy White, another very talented snooker player, in the final frame of a major championship.
Given one slim chance, AH took it & played beautiful snooker, some in very difficult ball positions, played with strong "side" (ball spin) to control the cue ball movement to achieve the impossible.

5.  The 5th episode, IMHO, is just so-so,  it is a frame between Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins.  If I remember correctly, JH was a one-time world champion, was suspended in subsequently years due to game-fixing/gambling.

Keep an eye on this future star!

In the recent Shanghai Open's qualifying round, Jimmy White played this new star Jack Lisowski.

Jimmy is not an unknow player.  in the 80's, he was one of the best and perhaps the most naturally gifted left-handed player.  He was almost always bridesmaid when Steve Davis won.  Jimmy White is no longer the Jimmy White of previous years.  Anyone who could out-play Jimmy & pushed him aside with such ease has to be a good player.

That player is Jack Lisowski!

Just watch the video,  the long shots (in snooker, it is called the "pot") by Jack were really impressive.

RONNIE O'SULLIVAN'S 2016 MASTER'S SUPER SHOT COMPILATIONS:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMKerrXVCXU

If you follow snooker, you will know that Ronnie O'Sullivan is the best and most talented snooker today.

In the above link, you will admire not only the accuracy of his long pots, but also the cue ball control to put him in position for the next shot.

Sometimes, he would use either left or right hand "side" (the Americans call it "English") on the cue ball to make the cue ball travel the whole table to where he wants it to land; other times, he would use the cue ball to "disturb" the red balls a little, to make one of the red to come into position.

Amazing video!

For my Jewish brother mmpleaser,

There is more than one hole that you can have fun-la!
