The ATS-V has 8 FWD gears, you can pick a 6-speed manual, but that is a no brainer. I will always take 2 more gears if available.
The ATS-V is aso fraction of a second faster than the AMG on the race track. It does not have the brand image of MB.

Longevity & resale value are factors to be considered too

Just saw 2016 outback review. Lane Keep Assist actually works. Driver DID NOT touch the wheel on highway. His foot is ready to brake if there was an issue. It has to be able to detect the white lines, and the indicator actually shows the left or right marker IF DETECTED. And the the green bar on Lane Assist turned on. Good feature. I WANT IT.

It was not a fair match up.
The CTS-V has a larger, supercharged engine, while the E63 AMG has a smaller, normally aspirated engine.

Please keep in mind this comparison was between 2015 models. 2016's CTS-V has a even larger engine and more HP, which I posted under "Car & Driver".

the new RAV4 sucks. While my car was in the shop, had a brand new 2015 RAV4 as my replacement vehicle. the design, performance, and comfort level all suck like hell. The classic 2008 style rav 4 look way better.
