I felt pretty good about my huntch for a snowy winter as per #5 above.
This winter (not yet over) is the coldest in close to 30 years, & non-stop snow covered streets since mid DEC 2103!
If you guys prepared your snowblower as per my advice, you will be the envy of your neighbourhood!  |

Snow blower manufacturers recommend oil change at least once a season or 20 hours of usage (double check with your owners' manual), whichever comes first. With the amount of snow we have been getting this year, we must have used 20 hours.
We will have one warmer day this weekend, this is a better time to do an oil change than in -20C weather.
Just start the snow blower, warm up the engine & the oil inside, switch off the engine, loosen the drain plug, & let the motor oil flow freely. After draining the oil into an oil pan, tighten the drain plug, top up with new SAE 5-30 motor oil. Do not over fill, very important.
Weather forecast calls for another month of cold winter. Take care of your snow blower & it will take care of you! |
