Got your point; thanks dragon for; I will have a look at Audi

Price wise, I have found BMW to give more discounts off msrp, then audi and benz would be the least negotiable.

South Koreans make very good cars these days, IMHO better than the Big Three, and at much better prices!

1.  Still too expensive to justify any purchase.
2.  Limited range.
3.  No engine noise = no satisfaction.

1.  For conventional vehicles, the most expensive component is the engine.  Telsa hs no engine, only a battery cell,  price should not be more than 50% of a regular car of the same size.

2.  Range has to increase to at least 500 KM after each charge.  Charging facilities should be easily available and no more than 15' for a full charge.

3.  Engine noise is like the moaning and groaning of a MM.  No noise = no feedback = a piece of dead meat!

Thanks for the explanation. You are really the pro here.

I guess the hype about tesla isn't really logical. It still has too many limitations especially the range problem.

I never know that tesla has no engine and uses only battery cells. That's really revolutionary. I now see why their stock price is high. No matter how tesla turn out, they really tries to make some big change in the auto industry.

How about the performance of the engine-like battery? i guess it must be similar to conventional engines but worse than premium engines.

If you are interested in S. Korean-made cars, beware the price tag is only for reference, there is quite a bit of room for dealers to maneuver which you can take advantage of.

I am a firm believer that S. Korean-made cars' quality are equal if not better than Big Three's counterparts.  If your car is only for basic transportation and that prestige/ego is not an issue, take a closer look.

I agree! South Korean cars have come a long way. I say they're better than Japanese now.

Not there yet, but getting very close.

Hyundai's Sonata was voted Best Car of the Year, 2 years in a row by car reviewers = Hyundai has a good player, but one good player does not make a great team, needs good players in all positions to make a good team or car company!
