I have never look into a pickup truck. It is interesting, but gas consumption is a different issue because you can have a 6.2L engine which means you might have to fill up every other day!

Yes, it seems to be a wonderful car with the amount of power under the hood but will American engineering have the "longevity" of German engineering??

The problem with American performance cars is that huge engines are used to derive the same power output. This one has a 6.3L engine. Guaranteed that it will burn a big hole in your wallet!
