The Americans are obsessed with the Corvette, although I won’t even give it a second look for the simple reason that the engine is too large & poor cornering ability.
The price is dirt cheap if you compare it with Porsche or Ferrari and other supercars.  Of course, the Corvette can never be considered as a supercar.

This is basically a modern version of the Lotus Super 7 which was designed/invented by Colin Chapman in the mid-50's.  

There is also a Canadian manufacturing facility in Victoria, BC where you can buy a finished vehicle or in a knock down version for self-assembly by the real enthusiasts.

Don’t let the Spartan appearance fool you, if you have the top-of-the-line model, it is fast and probably the fastest street legal yet race ready vehicle!  

Due to the bare essentials configuration,  the Caterham Seven is REASONABLY priced.
