President Chiang Kai-Shek's Diary
Those who are interested in modern Chinese history would be interested in reading this.
Like people of the previous generation, President Chiang kept a diary. Throughout the years, he reported/recorded all of his daily activities, sometimes in great detail. Due to his position in China's modern history, this diary is significant, particularly in verifying events in Chinese history.
President Chiang passed away in 1975 (?), the diary was kept by his decedents, & in recent years there was even a lawsuit among the decedents to decide who should own the diary. The last I heard was that this set of diaries was donated to a renown library (I did not follow on this, so can be wrong), but only for limited viewing.
As a result, privileged historians gained access to the diaries.
