Time: 5pm ish
Location: Sobeys
I was doing grocery shopping with sweetie after work, she picked me up from my office and drove us to Sobeys good little wifey, sweetie recently leased a new car, so she can drive me around
nothing was out of ordinary, until i saw a very familiar face, within 3 seconds, i realized it's a mm i used to see, i saw her probably close but less than 10 times last year, it was a surprise, caught me off guard, and i was at the fruit section picking peaches.. sweetie was chatting on her phone, and mm A walked towards me, so i politely smiled and nodded, she said " is this how u pick peaches, by smelling them" i said" yes, if they smell really strong and peachy u know they r ripe." and she came to smell the peach i was holding, that was a close call, i dont know what she was trying to do, obviously she could tell sweetie is my girlfriend, was she making a statement or something or was she just teasing me, sweetie noticed, and very weird and awkward, intense eye contact, they kind of glared at each other, i had to say something, i said "this lady was just curious why i was smelling all the peaches here, and i explained to her this is how i tell if they r ripe or not," sweetie said " i am hungry, hurry up, lets get going, unless u wanna walk home" so mean to me...
on the way home, i asked her whats wrong, she said nothing, i said u r clearly upset, and she said can u stop flirting with girls especially when i am around. i said i was not flirting with her, she asked an innocent question, and i answered it, i can't just ignore her. she said yes u can especially she is pretty like that. at this point, i am relieved. they don't know each other... false alarm
but damn, i could have sh*tted my pants
when running into mms outside work, my rule of engagement is always a smile, and that's it, sometimes mms will initiate a conversation, but like we meet for the first time, so nothing personal...this is bound to happen again, since i work DT live DT hunt DT..chances r just higher than normal.. it's good when i am alone, not so much when i am with someone else especially my sweetie |
