What places would you recommend to try different regional food from China?

China is a massive country with diverse culture, food and people. As more Chinese people immigrant to Canada, we are more likely to be exposed to different regional food from China. Previously, we are dominated by Cantonese, maybe Shanghainese cuisine, and bastardized Westernized Chinese food, but now the options are much diversed. With that said, what places have you guys tried that tasted good or authentic that you would recommend?

What places have good and authentic Beijing food? Dongbei? Sichuan? etc.

you should travel to Yunnan area of China.  There are many minority ethnic groups and the food is very different.

oooo what kind of food have you tried from there? And are some authentic restaurants here in Toronto or Canada in general?
