it sounds like your thought was based on your own assumption. Does the girl wants to live in Canada who has zero connections and lose touch with her family? What if two of you broke up? there are lots of physiological issue beside the hard costs and visa.
I understand how you feel on love. However your approach on temporary living oversea is roo risky for both of you
It's better to establish relationships based on material assumptions rather than emotional needs, in this both parties will not regret one day if love fades away
