Saw news on TV that GM is going to close Oshawa plant for good.
Announcement to be made at 8:30 11/26, missed it.

Turned out not only Canadian plant, but also US plants to close too.
Thanks for reinvestment on EV, and Driverless cars.  Think MoBike in China that rents for 1 RMB an hour and one can park ANYWHERE.  Some government agencies such as city sanitation can rent for 20 RMB a month.  No parking costs.
Uber and Lyft killing the taxis, driverless may kill ALL CARS, haha.  Who wants to park the car and own the car that parks 90% of the time either at work or at home.

I can see a reason for Oshawa,  NAFTA risk is still there depending on DT with an EO from him.

But also a good reason.  Sell the GM real estate and make tons of money with appreciated land value.

Followup on Bikes.
Rumor has it that with the trend towards SHARED bikes which has GPS tracking on the bike, sales from existing bike makers are WAY DOWN.
Why would anyone buy their own bike to use and worry about that being stolen and may be no place to park it.
DON'T WORRY, be happy.

GM may follow the same route.
